Commercial Real Estate Associate – Transactional
Grossberg, Yochelson, Fox & Beyda, LLP has an immediate opening for a junior attorney (2-5 years’ experience) with commercial transactional real estate experience to join the established and growing practice of a collaborative, entrepreneurial and highly client-focused firm. A successful candidate will have significant experience working as part of a team on all aspects of acquisition, development and financing. The ability to work independently with minimal supervision is a must. A strong candidate will have excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills and the ability to multi-task and prioritize. Candidates must be a member of the DC or eligible to waive into the DC bar upon commencement of employment.
Commercial Real Estate Paralegal
Grossberg, Yochelson, Fox & Beyda, LLP has an opportunity available for an Commercial Real Estate Paralegal that will provide support to a small group of attorneys. We are seeking a proactive individual with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment. The ability to prioritize assignments to meet deadlines is a must. Candidates should have great time management skills and strong interpersonal and communication skills. Candidates should also be competent with Microsoft Office suite, Adobe and time-keeping software.
A successful candidate should have a college degree and minimum of two years of experience in commercial real estate law, experience in a law firm environment is preferred. Candidates should have experience reviewing title commitments, surveys and related title exception documents and familiarity with ALTA title and survey standards, as well as experience reviewing closing and/or settlement statements for purchase and sale transactions and loans. Candidates should also have experience with the drafting of typical real estate closing deliveries and documents such as resolutions, certificates and conveyance instruments. Candidates will have the opportunity to grow in the role over time to include expanded responsibilities.
Grossberg, Yochelson, Fox & Beyda, LLP is seeking an office manager to be based out of their growing D.C. office. The Office Manager will play a key role in the day-to-day management of the firm and will report directly to, and work collaboratively with, the Firm Administrator. This is a new position due to the growing nature of the firm and as such the position will be customized to the candidate. This position has great opportunity for growth in the scope of the role and responsibilities with the firm.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage daily cash receipts, post payments and bank deposits
- Oversee facilities management, including maintenance requests, and onsite vendor management
- Coordinate interviews and screen potential candidates
- Manage trust accounts for clients including monthly reconciliation, deposits and distributions
- Provide onsite IT support in coordination with primary IT vendor
- Oversee supply management with multiple firm vendors
- College degree and a minimum of four years of relevant work experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and comfort learning and utilizing new pieces of technology
- Knowledge of NetDocuments is a plus but not required
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize varying demands
- Law firm experience is preferred.
